Our History
With roots in the pioneering days of the data warehouse industry, Narratus consultants have participated in the creation and evolution of many decision engineering systems. Their considerable experience and innovative approach create both awareness and infrastructure that enable continued business performance improvement.
In 1999, the team of Narratus (then Data Into Action) came to the attention of Hyperion Solutions particularly because of an approach to communication within DIA that resulted in the creation of a unique company culture focused on people and solving people’s problems – in business. DIA was acquired by Hyperion in May of 1999. Soon after the acquisition, Simao functioned as Chief Marketing Officer and, in focusing the company on its key strengths and leadership in the area of Business Performance Management, became a key contributor to its improved profitability, renewed industry leadership and resulting growth of shareholder value.
